Avid, especially competitive, runners can experience a number of foot problems. Even beginning and sometimes runner can experience some of the most common foot problems.

Achilles Tendonitis
This caused extreme pain in the calf and heel which continues to get worse with running often causing you to slow to a walk. The pain may be worse on hills and stairs. This is also a beginning running problem that can get better over time, but you should not try to push through it as you can cause injury to the tendons. Instead easy into a running routine allowing your tendons to acculumate to your new schedule. You can also use a bit longer to warm up with a walk.
Relief Products
There are some products out there that can help dull the pain. These are usually topical products, but you should ask other runners what they use. If you're experiencing inflammation an ibuprofen based product cna help reduce swelling.
