How to get rid of back pain during pregnancy
Some women experience back pain during pregnancy, which can range from mild to severe. Back pain can be caused by a number of things, but there are ways to help find relief.
Muscle Imbalance
When your back muscles are balanced in strength you are better able to support your entire body. Use simple back strengthening exercises to help find relief.
Awkward Posture
Even if you're someone who generally has good posture, the more your baby bump protrudes the more you over compensate to stand and walk straight. This causes an increased curvature in your back that can cause stress and pain.
Misalignment
Though your entire body is supported by the 24 bones in your spine and back, just one misalignment and you can stress your muscles. Try to keep your back straight when doing daily tasks and avoid lifting during your pregnancy.
Loose Joints & Ligaments
Back pain can also be caused by the loosening of your ligaments and joints caused by your body preparing for labor and birth. This can start to occur toward the end of the first trimester or even sooner if this is not your first pregnancy. While, there isn't much you can do about it, you can find relief by minimizing strenuous activities and lifting.
